I'm the new owner and photographer of the Confident Studio! I’m a boy mom, a natural performer, and a coffee lover! I’ve been living in Fairbanks since 2003 and I absolutely love this community.
As your boudoir photographer, I’m here to make sure you have an amazing boudoir experience. I believe that everyone deserves to feel good about their body and I’m here to remind you just how gorgeous you are!

As you walk through this season of preparing for such a special experience, I want to remind you that you are enough. No matter what your story is or what your day-to-day looks like--you are absolutely worthy of feeling seen and heard. Believe me when I tell you that you are more--more than a wife, mom, girlboss, friend, sister, daughter. You are you, first and foremost. Your Specialty Session

Your Boudoir Experience from start to finish. If you don't read anything else in this prep guide... Please read this! This is must know info for how your specialty boudoir experience will go! We are on a tight timeline for the day!

How to Prep & What to Bring With:

One Outfit: For this specialty session you get your choice of one outfit. Our studio client closet is not available for specialty sessions - only regular, full experiences. That means you'll have to come ready with the outfit that you know you want to wear or if you're torn between a couple bring them with and we can decide when you're here! We will have about 5-10 minutes to make an outfit decision so I don't recommend overpacking. I recommend bodysuits/teddies & recommend staying away from babydoll style or outfits that will make you lose shape or curves. If you have any questions on shopping suggestions scroll down further for a list of brands that I love! You can always email me as well if you need help!
Nails, Waxing, Etc.: I highly recommend getting a manicure and pedicure before your shoot! Your fingernails and toenails will be in almost every single shot! I prefer a neutral color for photos but if a colorful polish calls to you -- go for it! If you usually wax on a regular basis I recommend doing it at least 5 days prior to your session. Do whatever feels the most natural for you!
Wash/scrub your feet really well the morning of your shoot. Dirty feet are hard to retouch so make sure to come with clean feet!
We do not photograph props or costumes - please do not bring them to the studio. We also do not shoot "pin-up" style poses or photography.

How to Arrive to the Studio:

Eat to fuel your body. Make sure to eat so that you don't feel faint from posing your booty off! I promise eating during the day won't make or break how your body looks in photos. You're going to be gorgeous!
Please do not come to the studio earlier than your scheduled appointment time. We have a very specific and tight timeline for the specialty sessions. If you arrive early, please hang out in your car until your designated time so we can finish prep work.
Arrive with a clean, moisturized face and clean *dry* hair. Please do not arrive with wet hair.
Arrive in loose clothing (I recommend bra-less and sweatpants) & a top that is easy to slip over hair and makeup once glam is done such as a zip-up sweater. Clothing that is loose helps to prevent lines/dents in your skin from tight pants or socks.
If you plan on tipping your hair and makeup artist, please make sure to bring cash! Tips are not mandatory but are accepted (and appreciated!). Our hair and make artists work their magic to kick off your shoot making you feel beyond gorgeous!

Please Read These Directions. We are located in the same building as Red Strength Gym and Mayan Palace/Taco Azteca. Come in either of the side entry doors of the Washington Plaza Mall and head up to the second floor. We are in Suite 206 - you'll see our logo on our door and know you're at the right place! Please ring the doorbell on the right side of the door so we know you've arrived! We keep the studio door locked at all times as it's a private space and by appointment only; no walk-ins.

The Boudoir Experience Timeline:

Arrive at your scheduled time: As soon as you arrive at the studio we will greet you and get you settled in! Brittany or Kayla - our amazing hair and makeup artists - will ask you how you'd like your hair and makeup to be styled and will start glamming you up after confirming what look you're going for! Complimentary refreshments will be available for you during this time as well.
*****Please make sure to use the hallway bathroom right outside our studio before arriving if needed! The code to the women’s restroom is 2 & 5 (press them at the same time) then 1.****
Shooting time: After hair and makeup is complete we will get right to business since we have a lot to pack in before the next client arrives! You’ll change into the outfit that you brought with and we will shoot until I get everything that I need; it will be approximately 15-20 minutes of posing your booty off! We will be packing in a ton of poses to maximize the images that you receive. I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised how many photos we can get in only 20 minutes! This part may seem like it's the most stressful but I promise that it's super easy! I will tell you exactly what to do, where to look, how to breathe and everything is tailored to your comfort level.
After Your Shoot: After we finish shooting, we'll take a fun polaroid together to hang up on the boudie wall of fame! YAY! You made it! Then we will take a short 20-30 minute break so we can edit and you'll see your gorgeous photos! We will have a designated area where you can hang out and relax until we are ready for you to see your gallery!
Your Image Reveal: Your image reveal will be short and sweet - no longer than 20-30 minutes. You'll choose how you'd like to display your gallery whether that is in a product only collection, digital only collection or the best of both worlds - digitals and products! If you haven't already upgraded to a higher collection prior to your session day, you'll be able to at this time as well if you'd like to. You will not have an option to upgrade or change your image/product order after your image reveal.
***During your image reveal, the next client will likely be arriving to begin their hair and makeup. You might be able to hear them come in but we will have the studio blocked off so you won’t see each other! We are not allowing plus ones at the image reveal due to time constraints and other clients being present. Thank you!!***

The Image Reveal and Ordering Appointment

The moment that you've been waiting for! This is where you will see your entire gallery in person! We'll watch a fun little slideshow with all of your photos and then go through every photo one by one so that we can pick out your favorite images!
Your image reveal will be short and sweet - no longer than 20-30 minutes. You'll choose how you'd like to display your gallery whether that is in a product only collection, digital only collection or the best of both worlds - digitals and products! If you haven't already upgraded to a higher collection prior to your session day, you'll be able to at this time as well if you'd like to. You will not have an option to upgrade or change your image/product order after your image reveal.

Your products are picked out & ordered… Now what?

All products are required to be paid in full for any upgrades prior to or at your image reveal appointment; the minimum investment ($700 little black book) must be pre-purchased 14 days prior to your session. If you need to split up your payment amount at all make sure to contact us to get on a pre-session payment plan. After your same day image reveal, we will get to work on finishing the edits on your gallery. You'll be sent any digitals you purchased within 7 days. Your products will be shipped directly to you after we inspect them to make sure they're perfect.
Products take up to 8 weeks to produce. Everything is custom & handmade at various labs throughout the country... quality takes time. Please keep this in mind if you have any deadlines when ordering.
This part of your specialty boudoir experience might be the "end" but I know it's not the end of us! I can't wait to see you hanging out in the Confident Community on Facebook or even sharing a couple of your spicy photos on the 'gram ;)

Honestly, anything goes! A pair of cut offs, Calvin Klein set, anything spicy/strappy and a pair of heels that you love!! If you need any guidance on lingerie send us an email and we can help out!!

Bra and Panty Sets, BODYSUITS (Literally any body suit is LIFE and compliments every single body type), sweater/undies, crop top/undies, leather/jean jackets, jeans and more!

When consulting your closet, go with your gut.

Outfits to Avoid Bringing

While I want you to explore your creativity and have fun selecting your outfits, there are a few options out there that I have found it's best to steer clear from!

1. Corsets: While they sure look pretty on the hangers, and definitely do a great job of highlighting curves, corsets are very difficult to pose in. Since the majority of my posing is based on arching and being able to move freely, I highly encourage you not to wear a corset in your session. I want your images to be classic and timeless, and corsets can often date an image. They can also be hard to get into!

2. His jersey: It's such a sweet idea to bring his shirt or favorite team jersey, but because a man's shirt is cut much differently than a woman's, these options almost always mask your curves and leave you with a 'boxy' shape. If you want to bring something of his, I would suggest undie's with his favorite team's logo or finding a jersey with his team in a much smaller size.

3. 'Babydoll' style outfits: If you are unfamiliar with this style, it is a piece that is often fitted in the chest and then has a bunch of extra fabric that flows down near the stomach/waist. All of that fabric can add the illusion of inches around your waist, making you appear larger than you are. It also makes posing more difficult because the fabric tends to lay weird, and you'll be fighting with it the entire time.

**The Day of Your Shoot**

*How to Arrive:*
Please arrive to your appointment with a clean, makeup free and moisturized face and clean, dry hair. If you have a favorite lip shade, feel free to bring that. Wear loose clothing that doesn't leave marks on your skin. A great example is sweat pants, a loose tee, and loose undergarments or even pajamas! Please remove hair ties from your wrists or any tight jewelry.
*Make Sure To...*
Eat something before you arrive (trust me, don't worry about whether or not you will look thinner if you skip food). You definitely don't want to pass out from lack of nourishment, so make sure to eat a hearty breakfast before you arrive.
Wash your feet and wear loose socks! There is honestly nothing worse than having super dirty feet in a photo and it's nearly impossible to fix in photoshop!
Get a good night's rest the night before. You want to look fresh for your photos, so try to get to bed early!
Avoid alcohol (at least the evening before). Skip happy hour or bar hopping the night before your session! I want you to feel alert and ready to soak in this experience without feeling/looking sluggish. Reach for water and focus on staying hydrated in the days leading up to your session date! It will do wonders for your skin!

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm nervous! What is your advice? Sister, that is totally normal! In fact, I might be a little worried if you weren't nervous. Being nervous means you aren't numb to new, exhilarating experiences. By far, the most nerve-wracking part of this is walking in the door for your appointment. After you conquer that, it's an easy-going, super fun experience.
Can I bring a friend to the shoot? We do not allow plus ones during hair and makeup or for the photoshoot. This is a firm policy. Why? Even if they are your best, best friend - you will hold back if someone you know is watching you pose & it is extremely distracting for you as a client and us as the photographer and hair/makeup artist. My main focus is making sure that you have an incredibly comfortable environment to be yourself in, so I want it to be just you and I during the session! Additionally, there is simply a lot going on for these specialty sessions that we cannot accommodate any plus ones during the session or image reveal.
Should I get a spray tan? Please no spray tans before your session! I love them for other events in life but they are extremely difficult to photograph and edit when you're wearing little to nothing. Additionally, I don't want anything rubbing off on our studio sheets or client closet outfits, looking streaky/blotchy on your skin, looking uneven, or looking too orange. I have the same vendetta against tan lines and sunburns too- please stay out of the sun before your shoot! Tan lines or streaks from spray tans are very noticeable in images (plus they are nearly impossible to fix in photoshop). If you decide to spray tan or expose yourself to the sun resulting in a burn or bad tan lines we cannot guarantee that it can be edited out. Please keep this in mind and send me an email if you have any questions.
How long does the shoot last? The specialty session photoshoot will be 20 minutes long. this timeline cannot change as we have a full day of clients.
What can I expect at the image reveal? At your image reveal, you will select your images you want displayed in the product(s) you purchase. This is your only time to place an order for digitals & physical products; hard drives inevitably fail sometimes so I prefer not to hold onto photos. As outlined in the investment menu, we do not offer post session payment plans. We do offer pre-session payment plans though so make sure to reach out if you'd like your amount split up in any way! If you don't opt into a pre-session payment plan than you will be required to pay in full at your ordering appointment.
If I don't purchase digital images but sign an image release than you'll post them online anyways, right? I do not share any unpurchased digital images online in order to protect my business from having images stolen that weren't paid for. If you'd like a digital copy than I highly recommend purchasing a package that includes digital images. They will not be posted anywhere online. Your digital images are essentially your "insurance policy" for yourself in the event that your products are ever damaged over the years. We absolutely love physical products so much but accidents happen and it really stinks to have physical products ruined somehow and then lose the copies of your photos. This is a big reason why we recommend getting your digital gallery!
I literally have no clue how to pose or be sexy. Help! Don't you worry, girl! I've got you! I will talk you through every single movement within a pose. I teach you exactly what I do with your face, where to put your hands, where to look, when to arch--I pose everything all the way down to how you breathe! It's just us in the room, so if you feel silly the first few times, who cares?! We'll jam out to music, I'll be making you laugh (usually by making a fool of myself & tripping on everything), and you'll totally forget feeling awkward! Be brave, you can do this!
What is your reschedule policy? We are NOT accepting reschedules on these dates for any reason. If there is an emergency and you need to reschedule, we will allow you to pay the difference for a full price session ($300 due to pay the session retainer difference and the regular boudoir experience investment menu begins at $2500). If you require a second reschedule after that, there is a $250 rescheduling fee or a $500 cancellation fee.
When will I get the products I order? Depending on what what gorgeous product you order, the turnaround time is up to 8 weeks.
Should I get waxed? If you have never done it before, please do NOT get waxed. We have no way to know how your skin will react, and to have a full-on breakout would be less than ideal. If you'd like to test it out, please do so months before your appointment so you know how your skin will react. If you don't normally remove body hair, no biggie! I want you to feel like YOU in these images, so do what makes you feel gorgeous! I recommend: Spruce and Feather or The Self Care Collective. Spruce and Feather offers a one time 10% discount for any service prior to your session with me. Just mention 'OLIVIA YVONNE' and your session date in the notes section when booking your service with them!
Do you offer payment plans? I got you covered, babe! I offer an awesome pre-session payment plan. Reach out to me and let's chat about different options. Payment plan options are also listed in your investment menu so make sure to take a peek at it!
What types of payment do you accept? We accept cash, credit/debit, Affirm, PayPal or PayPal Credit. We do NOT accept checks. For Pre-Session Payment Plans, it must be a credit or a debit card or we can schedule a time to meet at the studio if you'd like to pre pay in full in cash.
Can I view my images in an online gallery instead of in person or over Skype? There is no option to have an online gallery or a second Ordering Appointment. You will see your gallery during your same day image reveal.
Can I make additional purchases at a later date? As discussed in the Session Guide and your contract, we do not archive your images after your ordering appointment. Therefore, you will not be able to return and order additional images. However, if you purchase a Digital Collection with the high-resolution files, you can send them to us for printing or you may print them through a third-party.
What happens to the images I do not purchase? We delete them after your Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment; hard drives and backups fail more often than you think so we don't run the risk of attempting to hold on to entire galleries or keep anyone’s intimate photos.
All sales are final. Once your Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment are complete, we will have you fill out a Final Sale agreement, which states that we cannot allow for changes to your order. This is studio policy for all clients and no exceptions will be made. You may not change, alter, add, reduce, or request any other types of changes after the Ordering Appointment.
